Sautéd Garlic & Chives Asparagus

Can you see the eye lashes? We were going shopping yesterday, and this car had eye lashes, just had to take a picture!!

Today we had a big family dinner 10 grown ups, and some kids.  I was in charge of the vegetables. So I thought about something that all of us would eat, and I came up with this recipe. It is not too expensive, and I had all ingredients that I needed already in the house.

4-5 servings

3 tbsp unsalted butter

1 bunch fresh asparagus

4 cloves garlic, chopped

1/4 cup (1/2 dl) fresh chives, chopped

———————————

Melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic, chives and and asparagus. Cover the skillet, and cook for 10 minutes .Stir occasionally.

The weather here has been crazy the last couple of days. One day we had 84 F (29C) the other day, and then today it was 32 F (0 C) when we woke up this morning. Brrrrr.  But spring is coming, the trees are blooming, and some of the flowers as well. I have been through my first tornado warning, and real hail storm…and I’m just saying “WOW” So glad we don’t have all that back in Norway.

I hope you have a great day!

Enjoy!

Glad the tornado warning wasn’t too bad. It’s been awful throughout the Midwest this week. Definitely crazy weather. Chives sound like a great addition to asparagus. I’m going to have to give that a try. 🙂
